Are you looking for something different to do this weekend?

Then enjoy a drink during The Sip of Baltimore Tour.

Just 22 minutes from our apartments near Fort Meade, the fun includes visiting three of the area’s best craft breweries to discover what goes on behind-the-scenes.

Stops include:

Oliver Brewing Co.

Since 1993, the Oliver Brewing Co. has pushed the boundaries with new styles, ingredients, and flavors. It’s one of Baltimore’s original craft brewers, and the distinctive American ales are made using traditional methods. During the tour, you’ll see the brewing process and get an inside look at the barrel-aging program. Beers include Riding Easy, Creator Destroyer, and Staring at the Sun.

Old Line Spirits

Arch Watkins and Mark McLaughlin met in the Navy flying EA-6B Prowlers. After more than a decade of being stationed around the world, they became neighbors in Baltimore. Arch and Mark bonded over their love of whiskey and became inspired to open a distillery. That’s how Old Line Spirits was born. It’s found in the Highlandtown neighborhood and features a 5,000 square foot courtyard. During the tour, you’ll learn more about Old Line’s history and witness the distilling process. Whiskeys include American single malt, cask strength, and sherry cask finish.

Checkerspot Brewing

When homebrewer, Judy Neff, decided to share her recipes with others, Checkerspot Brewing was born. She believes in being creative and works alongside Steve Marsh. As a child, he began brewing at home with his father, and now specializes in sourcing local ingredients and improving beer quality. During the tour, you’ll get a firsthand look at their creative process. Beers include Invisible Pink Unicorn, Wrong Side of the Tracks, and Stomping Ground.
